MPTB Roadshow in Ahmedabad Unveils New Tourism Opportunities
The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) recently hosted a successful roadshow in Ahmedabad, aimed at promoting the state’s rich tourism offerings and fostering collaboration with local industry stakeholders. Held on August 10, 2024, at the Courtyard by Marriott, the event saw enthusiastic participation from key figures in both Madhya Pradesh’s and Ahmedabad’s tourism sectors, leading to the formation of promising partnerships that are set to enhance tourism prospects in the region.
The roadshow featured active involvement from Madhya Pradesh’s travel agents, tour operators, and hoteliers, who engaged with their counterparts in Ahmedabad to establish strong networks and collaborations. These efforts are expected to boost tourism not only in Madhya Pradesh but also in Gujarat, facilitating greater travel exchanges between the two states.
Sheo Shekhar Shukla (IAS), Principal Secretary of the Tourism and Culture Department and Managing Director of the MP Tourism Board, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the roadshow. He emphasized the importance of industry collaboration, noting that the partnerships formed during the event would significantly benefit both Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat’s tourism sectors. “The roadshow deepened the understanding of MP’s tourism potential among Ahmedabad’s residents and built strong connections between the two regions, encouraging travelers to explore the beauty and diversity of Madhya Pradesh,” Shukla said. He also announced the much-anticipated launch of jungle safari services in the state, set to begin on October 1, 2024.
Dharmendra Lodhi, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Religious Trust and Endowments Department (Independent Charge), highlighted the ongoing series of roadshows across various cities to promote Madhya Pradesh’s splendid tourism offerings nationwide. The Ahmedabad event was part of this larger initiative to increase awareness of the state’s unique tourist destinations and products among Gujarat’s travel agents and tour operators.
Madhya Pradesh is recognized as a treasure trove of tourism experiences, positioning itself as an “Offbeat Multispecialty Destination of First Choice.” The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is committed to organizing comprehensive workshops across the country to showcase the state’s tourism offerings and foster collaboration with key industry stakeholders.
